In Market Data Operations Notice #Q2007-077 , dated March 14, 2007, we recommended increasing bandwidth for all customers directly connected to CME’s Market Data Platform (MDP) to accommodate future needs.

Based on these projections, we are strongly recommending that customers upgrade their existing connection to a 40MB Ethernet circuit.  The recommendation to increase bandwidth is attributable to several factors, including (but not limited to):

·        Continual increases in CME volume for existing products

·        Increasing activity in options products

·        Duplicate market data for customers migrating to FIX/FAST

·        New product launches with additional market makers

·        Potential for increased NYMEX data over MDP

o       NYMEX electronic data in ITC format

o       Addition of NYMEX options data

·        Potential for CBOT data over MDP (contingent on the completion of CME/CBOT merger)
